The U.C. Berkeley Atmospheric Sciences Center invites applications from graduate students for research funding in atmospheric science. We encourage applications in new areas of atmospheric science and interdepartmental proposals. All awards will be competitively selected.

Eligibility.
We will consider applications from graduate students who are or will be enrolled full-time at Berkeley during the tenure of the award. Students may only receive the award once. BASC Fellowships may be used at the discretion of the recipient's faculty advisor for any purpose that is in support of the recipient's research

Award.
The award will be $10,000 for graduate students. We anticipate making several 1-year awards for the coming academic year. The number of awards will depend on the availability of funds. Center support can be used for salary, field expenses, equipment, travel and other miscellaneous research expenses.

Application.

• Graduate students should submit: (a) a 1-3 page letter of intent describing the research project and its motivations, (b) curriculum vitae, and (c) 1 letter of evaluation from a faculty member familiar with their research accomplishments and/or plans.
