I am a Ph. D candidate at the University of California Berkeley with Professor Inez Fung. My specialty is in atmospheric dynamics, and my thesis focuses on the dynamics of interannual rainfall variability in India and East Asia. I like learning about geophysical fluid dynamics, and I've also contributed to research on paleoclimate, speleothems, and seasonal earthquakes.

I am particularly interested in the ways that my research can be applied to sustainable development and response to climate change in China.

In my spare time, I'm a fluent speaker of Mandarin Chinese, one of the top-ranked competitive Scrabble players in North America, and I coach ultimate frisbee.
